A card game the whole family will love!

With a little memory, a little strategy, and a little luck… you’ll have a whole lot of FUN!

Risk Takers - Cards

Our family loves playing games, but finding a game that works for the whole family is like searching for a unicorn* 🦄

They need to be:

✔ Easy to learn
✔ Both kids want to play (at the same time *gasp*)
✔ Fun for all ages (6+)
✔ Just right challenge for all ages (6+)
✔ Fast rounds
✔ No reading required

*impossible, because if unicorns were out there I assure you our daughter Maddie would have found them!

Risk Takers is that unicorn 🦄. It combines fun, memory, a little strategy, and a lot of luck. It’s anyone’s game! Play our individual player version to be the ultimate Risk Taker, or try our team version to promote a little teamwork.

We have enjoyed sharing Risk Takers with our friends and family, and we are excited to share it with you!

RULES OF PLAY

  • Pick your character

Assign each player/team a character.  Then, start with the youngest player and go clockwise.

  • The starting player flips one card (hoping to uncover one of their Character Cards).

    Start game

  • Take a risk?

If the player uncovers their Character Card, they must choose to either “Risk it” or “Take it” and announce their choice:

    (1) If they choose to “Risk It”, they can flip another card. If the next card is also their Character Card, again they must choose to “Risk it” or “Take it”.

    (2) If they choose to “Take It”, they place their uncovered Character Cards face up in a row in front of them.

  • If the player uncovers another player/team’s Character Card, they return all uncovered cards (from this turn) facedown in the same place in the grid and it is the next player’s turn.

    Made a mistake?

  • Found a Wildcard?

  • In a 4 to 6 player game, play in 2 or 3 teams, and teammates alternate turns.

    4-6 player game

  • Game over!

A round ends when one player/team has collected all of their Character Cards.

The first player/team to win three rounds wins the game!

Wildcards

“BOMB”

If you uncover a Bomb your turn is over, and your opponent(s) can return up to three of your previously collected Character Cards to the grid facedown in any free spot. The Bomb is removed from the grid.

If you have not collected any Character Cards, your turn is over, and the Bomb remains in the grid facedown.

“UNDO”

You can choose to “Risk it” or “Take it”. You can play the Undo on a future turn to undo a mistake. Reset the mistake facedown and make a different selection.

This card can only be used once.

“LOCK”

You can choose to “Risk it” or “Take it”. The Lock protects all of the cards you have already collected from being sent back to the grid by a Bomb in any future move.

It does not protect any cards you collect AFTER receiving the Lock.

Treat your family to a game you’ll all love!
